Another way to make the past present or the present past….it’s confusing travelling back and forth. The city gate Sassenpoort in Zwolle the Netherlands.
The capture caught in the present after a remake is now antique.
Used Photoshop CS5 for the present photograph
Used Picmonkey on line to see what it looked like with a sepia layer.
It was all right but not good enough. One started I’m unstoppable….ouch.
Whacked a daguerreo type effect, called shiro layer, on it.
After that I added a Daguerreo type frame, film effect, choose again for the Shiro option, faded it out a bit. Couldn’t still stop with playing…… I couldn’’t help myself next was an extra bonus:
Yessss great find:
The Craft Scissors option, to frame like a real vintage photograph, added the colour to match with the total image.
Back again to PS CS5 to perform the finishing touch.
ét voilà: no silver copper plate (Sheffield plate), no silver iodide nor silver or bromide were needed……….
It still amazes me what we can achieve with today’s modern technology and learn from the pioneers of photography…
