I Have Done Something
I looked at all the caged animals in the shelter…the cast-offs of human society.
I saw in their eyes love and hope, fear and dread, sadness, and betrayal. And I was angry.
“God,” I said, “this is terrible! Why don’t you do something?”
God was silent for a moment, and then He spoke softly, “I have done something,” he replied. “I created you.”

“Saving the life of one animal may not change the world, but the world will surely change for that one animal”
How hard it was not to take this poor dog with me.
A symbol for all pets in rescue shelters..
For you we volunteered to work on Friday the 16th of March 2012 at the pet rescue “Dierenopvang Edo Hammer” in Kampen.
Together with former colleagues of Impact we had a great day working and great fun together. United effort with one goal, get it done for the sake of animal welfare. And we did. Painted the dog shelters and outside buildings in (dark) red, (bright) white and (dark) blue…during the regional Dutch event “Nederland doet”.
Everybody was knackered afterwards but it’s such a joy for all to see the fine result. Thank you staff for the ever so great hospitallity!
*They traced the owner of Cloë, it could be a case of neglection, there’s an investigation going. During that period Cloë can’t be replaced yet. She’s doing well for as much is possible and loves the cuddles.
Cloë has a new home Yay!!!
