1976: saved my pocket money and bought the Victorian Bisque replica doll with jointed wood body produced by B. Shackman. Wow!
Dressed it up myself, made photographs of it for my (sort of GCSE) Art exam about fashion and history part in college long time ago. I passed, the doll is gone, the photograph is saved and reproduced.
Can remember the fuzz I made about what background it must be, time was running out!
Photograph developing took some time… to the shop and mostly 2 or 3 days it took before they were ready! Remember that I grabbed the first item what was suitable.
A college ringbinder with a horrible red colour and a coarse plastic surface. In between it crossed my mind if I could take the doll back to college and just made a photo copy of it as a sort of “Arty” expression, but no that plan was fairly fast dismissed as rubbish solution.
