Do Something New Every Day: Interview & Photography

Was asked to give it a try, being an interviewer for Kampenonline.com Local news & broadcasting online. Once being interviewed is one thing, trying to be a interviewer is totally different, I can tell you now.
It’s a bit scary in the beginning but in the end it was really nice to do. Thank you Monique and Tineke of Atelier Ajna, you both are fantastic and made the interview really easy going. The interview was about: A special relationship and a joint (ad)venture in arts and creativity and of course the amazing results of that. A dream became reality and more. Of course I couldn’t resist to capture some photographs afterwards……

The news item is on line you can find it here, it’s in Dutch and temporary available I think.

Want to know more about Atelier Ajna…

Yes Cyber week(end) is still going on. The time before Christmas a busy period to prepare for several celebrations. Santa was early this year and brought me a beautiful encouraging message. Someone, a special person, liked my Christmas greeting cards and bought 10 of them.
Thank you so very very much unknown buyer I’m thrilled and encouraged by your purchase. I do hope the cards send by you will be received with joy! I’m so happy!

In the mean time I’m pretty busy with lots of activities. The latest one as a mad hat maker and costume dresser. Never made a hat before so it was a total new adventure to dive in.Why so busy? As a volunteer I work in the ci…

October November Activities ongoing!

Dear Bubble friends,
Lots and lots is going on and ongoing:

Firstly Halloween! It was fun being a witch again, though a bit risky flying my broom with the blustery wind. It was a safe landing anyway plus a lot of fun!

Saturday November 2th 2013 attended with an T-shirt design activity at the opening of a new GIVEAWAY shop. A special idea and initiative of Debby and Denise.Their shop looks fabulous!

" In spite of the overall wealth of the European Union (EU), poverty in the EU is still at a relatively high level. Nearly 1 in 7 people are at risk of poverty. The figures are even higher for some groups such as children and older people. However, the extent and seriousness of the problem is often not well understood either by policy makers or the general public. As a result sufficient

A New Adventure as an extra in a Theatre Play

A tiny advertisement in a local newspaper asking for volunteers performing as extras in a theatre play was the start of a new adventure. Had no idea what it supposed to be like. The complete performance took place in several houses along the canal in the city centre Kampen. “Behind The Front Door” is written, produced and performed by actors of AvonTura. Behind every front door was a new surprise for the visitors. All the scenes behind the front doors had a special theme.
Together with a bunch of great girls we had to perform about beauty through the history.
The act took place in a (how suitable) a wellness centre: Centre Cosmétiqe Kampen. The proprietress of the centre took part in the play too, with her little daughters. When the audience entered the building they experien…

Commissioned Photo Book Published

It was a thrill actually see the Photo book in real!

I was asked to do a photo shoot about the restoration of a vintage motorcycle: the BSA A7 1948. The 3 year restoration was done by Wout Hammer of Hammer Las- en Smeedtechniek in Kampen. His idea was to hand over the restored motor cycle with a photo book, the story of the restoration.

My task was to capture images of the end result, plus editing/processing of already made photographs from the beginning and the progress, capture the historic documents for creating a special photo book. By using (ofcourse) camera, desktop publishing and image editing the final result was created. On the way the idea came up to create stamps for the owner of the motor cycle as an extra gift. Launched the brain wave and he liked the idea. The final result w…

Angels exist

Dear Bubble friends,

Thank you all so much for your support, dear words and comments on my last journal post.
In between all the activities that life demands on the moment it was good to read and will answer in time.
Angels do exist… yes they do..thereby I’m deeply thankful for the help I received.
My camera is working again…thanks to an angel. Maybe it sounds dramatic but in a time you loose almost everything it’s a miracle and a spark of hope in the darkness!

Just want to share not only bad news but good news as well, will be here when possible,

warmest regards to all of you

xx

However I am still around trying to meet my Bubble friends. I miss my camera’s a lot and try to figure out how to cope. In the mean time trying to figure out 1001 solutions for all sorts of “challenges” ^^

Have a nice weekend you all.
