I enjoy working in the medium I love… capturing the elusive 1,000 words in the images all around us. It seems to me that while those images do surround us it is their nature to be fleeting often before us only for a heartbeat then gone forever… unless we make an effort to capture them. These images continue to catch my attention. I use a Nikon D200 with an 18-200mm VR lens, a most amazing combination. The part of California I live is in the southwestern corner of the Mojave Desert which covers a little town off of old Route 66 called Victorville, the best kept secret in California. It it is about halfway between Los Angeles and Las Vegas. The movie stars used to hangout here but that crowd is long gone yet Hollywood still finds reasons to come up here and find great images… and you have seen it more than you realize… it’s all around us all the time.
