Ta Dah, introducing Lacy's kitten...Shiver! by

Well we have waited patiently for this moment and finally it has arrived. For a year and a half we have cared for an out side wild cat called Lacy(one of my favorite subjects). This little sweetheart is her first and only kitten to date. We call her Shiver she is about 4 weeks old, she is the spitting image of her mama. Our family has decided to keep her and make her an inside cat.

I am an artist, a poet, a photographer, a mother and a wife. I love capturing images, my favorite are animal portraits and florals. I enjoy closeups/macros as they show what are eyes sometimes miss. I hope you enjoy my heart and soul within my images. :)Pat

Dear Pat, you are one of my absolute favourite cat-photographers.
This is over the top Outstanding. What a little beauty she is. I adore the eyes of course, but the whiskers are remarkable. I am so looking forward to following her as she grows.

  • Thank you so much Kira, you are so kind and have made my day with your high remarks. We have waited a long time for this day and now it is here we are all so excited to have Shiver with us. Lacy has been a long time favorite of mine to shoot and I am sure Shiver will follow in her foot steps. LOL. :)Pat

A beauty! Shiver can melt a heart. How’s Lacy doing?

  • Thank you for the comment appreciated. Lacys doing well, when she comes around we show her Shiver and let her know we are caring for her she seems fine with it. She seems even happy about it as she got real close to me the other day I didnt try to pet her but I think she would have let me had I tried. If it is possible that they understand(and I think it is) , I think she knows with winter coming we are helping her to care for Shiver and that she’ll be better off in the house. All I can hope is we are doing the right thing by helping this one survive and giving her an easier life than that of the out side wildcats. She will be well loved that much I know for sure, LOL. :)Pat

Oh that’s gorgeous. I “have” a wild cat that I can now pat, it took me 2 years to pat him but now he comes when he sees me. I don’t try and pick him up but he will even now enjoy a belly rub when sitting at the bottom of the steps but is still very skitish and will take off when strangers are around.

  • Thank you for your time and the lovely comments greatly appreciated. We have several wildcats in the area that my family and I feed. There is one group of a family, mamma cat and her 3 kittens(now grown) and now their kittens we are following the most. A few of them we can pet and it is a great feeling when we can, knowing they are trusting humans, some for the first time ever, some after being abanded by humans and learning we are not all like that. Glad to hear you are succeeding in trust and love with your wildcat, wishing you the best. This little gal is the first we have taken into our home and it has been a wonderful journey and experience so far, LOL. Thank you for your support . :)Pat
