I am fairly new to photography, a year ago now. It is a form of art and I love that I can express myself through this medium. I try to add a little artisic flavor to all of my images and I love to shoot a little different than the norm. My favorite style is macros/close ups, I perfer animal portraits and florals. I have painted with brush and canvas for years as well as writing poems, but due to limited time I have turned to the camera and it is a whole new field with lots to learn and I am having a blast!
It is my pleasure that you are here to view my works and images. I find it a true honor when another artist appreciates my pieces.
Please note when viewing my cat images that some are of my own cats/kittens(I have taken three"in from the cold"), the rest are of ferral cats within the area. I have been feeding a family of ferral cats now for almost three years and following their families. Many have disappeared now as is the way of cats left to fend for themselves in the wild. Many have left their mark on my heart and will be forever be remembered in my images. I take images of these cats that are considered pretty and pleasant but I have seen many of them hurt, sick and mean, with a huge mistrust of humans. I try to make my images of them as beautiful as I can(with my limited editing skills) to show people within my area the beauty that they too easily throw away. When asked about my images I will freely educate those that don’t know about the rough lives these beautiful creatures have to endure. If you wish to learn more about this subject please view, “The Life of a Ferral Cat: Beaten but not Down”, attached to that image, which is difficult to view, is a fictional story based on the truths of thier difficult lives. They are my passion and my hope is that one day all cats will be cared for indoors where they belong! :)Pat
