I was dining at the top floor of the shopping centre and I noticed that this young man was so engrossed in his ‘Box’ ,he never look at the spectacular scenery at all.

My goodness! You’d think there was no glass in that wall…it is so crystal clear! What a beautiful shot….just ordinary everyday life made extraordinary!

  • I took a few images but some had the reflection of the lighting from the cafe. This one had quite a bit on the top so I cropped it off,you can see that the tall building on the right has been cropped ( would prefer not to do that but there were lots of little white light reflections on the windows ). The whole view is amazing but there were blurs of dirty window and streaks of whites on the left of him so I cropped that off too. That is why this image is small. Wish I didn’t have to do that but I do not know how to ‘clean’ it up properly so I only keep what is clean.LOL.Thanks for your compliment.

Hi Pat,,,,how you were able to capture this great photo of the city is amazing!!!!,,,were you having lunch with him also?

  • LOL,Rick ! This cafe /restaurant was just on the top floor of this big retail shop so lots of ordinary everyday people go there. I couldn’t get a seat close to the window so I had to walk around to take pics of the view. This man was so engrossed in his laptop,I just stood quite close to him, took pics of the view at first, then progressively stood a bit away from him to get a view of him and the city view.He was not aware of me taking his pic : ) I didn’t have my DSLR ,I only had a small compact camera.

Fabulous capture indeed. He surely must have been deeply engrossed, as for you to manage this amazing photo!!! Maybe he is used to the gorgeous view???? Awesome work! xoxoxoxoxxoxoxo

  • Many thanks Shar. He never looked up at all when I was walking around the window so it was easy to just step back from him and take the pic. I used my small compact camera which was not too obvious.

Think I would rather have the view – how could he not be gazing at those marvellous buildings

  • Thanks Shulie. Most people there were just staring at the view but this man was just the exception. It was awesome to look down at the traffic.

Too True! Whenever I’m on vacation (like right now) I see people so busy w/their laptops & smartphones that they could be anywhere. Imo, why even bother going anywhere different if your’re gonna spend most of the time staring a a computer screen?

  • I was in a coach tour and most of the other tourists were not looking at the scenery when we passed the countryside but were too busy checking emails, etc. So sad that they miss so much in life . Thanks Robyn for your comment.
