Spotted this pretty Japanese girl who was riding on her father’s shoulder during the Japanese festival yesterday 11th Feb 2012.Taken at the Japanese Summer festival,known as ‘Natsu-Matsuri’ The festival was organised by the Japanese Society of Melbourne/Japanese Chamber of Commerce &Industry Melbourne.It is a community based event for anyone with a love of Japan and Japanese culture.Activities included the “Bon Odori”dance,Taiko Drumming ,Sumo wrestlers and other performers.Lots of Japanese food and handicrafts.

    So beautifully done Pat! Love the angle and I’m not at all sure how you managed to get a clear background at such a busy festival but this looks marvellous.

  • Many thanks Georgie for your lovely comment and fav. She was up high against the sky so no problem with crowds. The background was clouds and sky.I thought I’ll make it B&W since part of her face was in the sun and there was too much shadow on the other half.
