Japanese lady

I know the subject is not sharp but I like the light so you will have to excuse the imperfection : )

Simply beautiful, Pat. A wonderful work!

  • Thanks very much Mike! I love kimonos, very elegant and the Japanese girls wear them so well. The fan was a bonus so was the light. It is beautiful in colour but was more blurry. We have a big community of Japanese in Melbourne.

Excused patcheah! Still a lovely capture as I thought the figure was moving and you captured the motion.

  • Many thanks,Jordan. You are spot on.She was walking away very fast and I was struggling to capture her with my heavy 55mm-300mm lens : )

This image is gorgeous, very artisitc!

  • Many thanks for your wonderful comment. I made it B&W by accident. The original in colour is very beautiful but the blur was more obvious so I changed it into B&W and was surprised to see the light!

absolutely great. i featured it a while ago. now I have to tell you. i love the mood and the play with light and shadow.

  • Thanks so much Moyo for your encouraging comment and fav. I was struggling with my Nikon D7000 in low light, set on P. I still have ISO in auto.LOL. Can’t seem to get my old head to learn new tricks : )
In colour ,this image doesn’t have the mood at all and I am so surprised to see it in B&W. Now, I am trying out all my old images to see what they look like in B&W and it has been fun!
