VERY DRAMATIC, I LOVE DRAMATIC LOOKING SUNRISES AND SUNSETS. I STARTED OUT MANY YEARS AGO WITH SCENICS ALSO, I’VE FOUND THAT I HAVE A NACK FOR SCENICS. I’VE BEEN IN PHOTOGRAPHY SINCE 1974, WHEN I TOOK A CAMERA TO BASIC TRAINING. I’VE STUCK WITH IT EVER SINCE. REMEMBER, IF YOU WANT TO CONTROL YOUR DEPTH OF FIELD, THE SMALLER THE APPERITURE NUMBER, THE LESS DEPTH OF FIELD YOU WILL HAVE,,,,THE LARGER THE APPERITURE NUMBER, THE MORE DEPTH OF FIELD YOU WILL HAVE. EXAMPLE, F:2.8:1 IS A VERY SHALLOW D.O.F. WHERE AS F:32:1 IS A VERY LONG DEPTH OF FIELD, SO THAT YOUR IMAGE WILL BE FOCUSED SHARP FROM THE FOCAL PLANE ONWARD TO INFINITY. I WAS SELF TAUGHT ALSO, ONLY I DID IT ON 35MM FILM, WITH A FULLY MANUAL CAMERA THAT I DIDN’T HAVE AN OWNERS MANUAL TO GUIDE ME ALLONG WITH AND MEDIUM FORMAT CAMERAS THAT USED 120 ROLL FILM. I DIDN’T HAVE MANUALS FOR THOSE CAMERAS EITHER. I BURNED UP A LOT OF FILM LEARNING, I WISH I HAD DIGITAL BACK THEN. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, YOU HAVE SOME VERY NICE IMAGES. BOB ;)

Very nicely composed winter scene! The deep contrasts in the shadowed snow covered area lends a dramatic and chilly feeling. The warm setting or rising sun adds warm colors and contrasts to the otherwise cold winter environment! Makes one want to reach out to the sun! Lovely work! : )
