Positive Truth

Much of my writing clarity comes t me when I am on a run. This morning as I was running I felt pain and restriction in my body. I realised that often when I feel such things I try to block them through ignorance or judge them as negatives. I then realised that many humans do this with pain and restriction and further realised that this is just making things worse.

In many spiritual philosophy and even here on redbubble many people push the be positive line. However to me being truly positive is when we are fully transparent to everything in life including pain and restriction. Whilst we pour ourselves into so called positive thinking and positive activity we are pedestalling some people and activity and judging others.

Pain and restriction is in people’s lives for a reason. It has either been created by the individual or has been projected from the individual’s environment. I believe that true freedom and strength comes when we see and treat everything as equally important. If we ignore aspects of our lives or specific people we are at least energetically making them more negative. Can you imagine rejecting a small child’s need for attention and the child happily going away in peace? The same with people or aspects of our own emotions. If we ignore and judge we are just making things worse.

To my mind the majority of humans carry pain and restriction but try to pretend that they don’t. Further we choose substance, people and activities as a way to avoid the things we judge as negative. In many cases even children become addictions for us as a way to avoid our inner demons and old wounds. They are so free and innocent and so opposite in energy to the negatives we are running from. However because we are at some level using them to avoid our inner pain they are damaged by our love and dependancy.

On my run I tried to use a philosophy of accepting that the weakness and restriction was there. To then take my awareness to it in an open way. I didn’t end the run pain free but I did gradually ease the pain. In my life in general I want nothing more than to be free, humble and gentle. To this end I look to embrace everything in life as equally important. In this way I hope to create a life where all is valued and as such all becomes positive.

Artist's Description

I believe that avoiding pain and restriction is the fuel that creates suffering in humanity. Especially now there are so many influences to think positive. However how can anyone truly be a positive person if they are hiding and avoiding the negative emotions within themselves.
