Courage
The model in this pic was experiencing her first fully nude shoot. Whilst she admired the shots she had seen in my portfolio and really wanted to do it she was very scared. Her boyfriend had pressured her not to do it and she felt that society may judge and brand her.
So it took enormous courage for her to go through with the shoot. On the day she commented on feeling so free and so beautiful within. I think this particular shot depicts the joy that can come from choosing our heart over our fears.

Even without the explanation, I could tell what was going on in the shot — which I think is perhaps the hallmark of a good photo. Bravo to the model for her courage and to you for your excellent capture of her priceless innocence!

Wonderful photo and story. I experienced the same type of fear when a trusted photographer friend asked me to pose for him. Doing so (on the Great Wall of China!) ended up being a transformative experience.
