This is one of my very old shots. This is one of an amazing series of images that the model and I took on this day. Donna has one of the most powerful auras I have ever experienced. Some days she used to be so closed and restrictive but on other days she was like an angel. This was one of her angel days.
I am really passionate about running workshops pertaining to images such as these. I have set up a group to promote and feature these workshops.

I love the play with the depth of field that has the model and phone literally jumping from the image at you. The lighting is superb for this piece, with all the highlights and shadows complimenting one another. The model is gorgeous. Her expression seems to be one of disappointment, as if maybe she had just received some bad news through the phone she is holding. If that was the intent, than you did a wonderful job of capturing that emotion.

This is an older shot but the power is as strong as ever. The subject in this one is a very complex woman. So powerful in her emotions but often fluctuating in mood. On this day she was in an angelic mood and was so empowering to be around.

THat’s a really interesting point – about the mood of the model. As photographers we perhaps spend too much time on light/equipment etc and not enough on the mood of the model. Thinking about it, some of my best shots have been taken when the model is in a good mood.
