This is another pic out of the footy calendar I used to do. Thses guys were professional footballers but looked so good that I was able to market the calendar overseas where people had no idea who they were.

Interesting observation. The player concerned is very tough on the field but in my opinion has great depth of feeling as a person. Agree with you re his eyes.

I think deep down you are right. He is very sensitive but like many of us who feel deep I think he protects his emotions a little. It is so difficult to feel so much and also to trust what you are taking in.

I agree it’s a great shot of Mr Johnson but my favourites have to be Jonathan Hay in 99/00, Benny Dixon in 00/01, Paul Licuria in 01/02, Daniel Giansiracusa in 02/03, Matty Robbins in 04/05 and most of all – Trent Croad in 03/04!!! Yes, I have the calendars and I’ve kept them…purely for reference purposes of course!

Hi Leigh,

Now that I have finished shooting them I am amazed myself at how many good shots there have been. I remember all these shots and they are great. My favourites are Crawford with the surfboard and Hamill with the swimming goggles.

I can see why they marketed so well… don’t get me wrong, I am not one of those women who just sees all muscles and good looks… the photography is superb, the composition is gorgeous… and I love the black and white.

Hi Tony…
We have a name in “Spanish” for this type of guys….
“Macizos!!!!!!!!” The translation… could be something like stout….. but with much more feeling. I remember another word, tht was repeteate in the “Brave New World” novel… and that was applied for women… “pneumatic”.... yes… this guy is absolutely “macizo” and “pneumatic”.... Another expression that I love is… “no se puede aguantar”..... would mean “I can´t stand it”..... and another…. “estos son de pega”...translated…. “these are a fake”....
I can see that it is not the last at all… and that there exists these macizos….
“Demasiado para el cuerpo!!”.. translated…”too much for my body”... (this sounds funny)
