    Love this…so did the whole story come to you all at once while you were shooting, or have you had to go and shoot some new stuff? If this is all one moment, so to speak, it is even more amazing than I originally thought.

  • Thanks a lot, Lou! This one actually formed in the post editing. We shot this with the red hoodie on her first, then without it and finally in the red dress, so it was all out of sequence and we really had no idea what we were shooting for at the time. Mahalia and I always wanted to work together, so we just took what the day gave us and the story came together with each new piece that I manipulated. But to answer your question, it was all in the one day! I’m actually pretty surprised we got this whole series out of it, but I’ve never worked with a model that can do so much either :)
