Sri Lankan Brown Fish Owl, captured at Dehiwela Zoo, Sri Lanka. He stayed in this position and expression for the entire time we watched. I was so taken with his expression here, such a humanesque look that frown.

This magnificent bird lives in the tropical region of Southern Asia and South East Asia. It is classified as a predatory bird and one of the few species of winged creatures that are not threatened with extinction at present day.
