The view of Sacre Coeur from the top of the Arc de Triomphe, Paris – capital of France.

I keep finding more and more photos from my travels that I once thought were unusable.. until textures came into my life.

So beautiful! This must be great fun, Andrew – and the bonus is that you get to go through all your travel pics again:)

  • Thanks so much Ann! You’re right, reliving the travels is always a great way to spend the day :) Hope you’re well!

Thats the thing I love about textures the most – images that might have been a great composition, but were spoilt by the weather being overcast or that just don’t quite pop – can be turned into fantastic works of art – like this!!!!!! Brilliant colours and depth andrew, love the layers of buildings :))

  • So true Trish, there are so many pieces I have been able to use thanks to post processing. Really pleased you like this piece, thanks heaps for the great comment! :)

Hey, terrific job of ‘salvage by texture.’ This really turned out nicely. You can actually get on top of the Arc de Triomphe?? I had no idea.

  • Thanks a lot mate!! Yeah you can get inside the Arc and then up the spiral stairs to the roof top lookout. 360 degree view of Paris from up there, great to see the other landmarks when at the top of each one!

This is fantastic – I’ve been doing the same with some of my old photos. It’s great to be able to breathe new life into them :)

  • Thanks a lot Melissa! Definitely a good feeling to be able to save some of the shots this way :)
