This is my first attempt at creating the tilt shift effect in Photoshop. Best viewed large

This is the Trocadero, Paris, capital city of France. I took this from the top of the Eiffel Tower. The Trocadero is one of the few vantage points where the Eiffel Tower can be seen in full view.

I don’t have many ariel view shots in my collection of photos, but this one thankfully served as a good image for this particular effect.

For details on how I created this, please see here. Anyone who has photoshop or a photo editing program can do this.

Adjustment of hue saturation and brightness, increase and adjustment of curves to increase contrast and colour further. Slight crop of original shot, as seen below.

Awesome Parmi, well done. I was gonna try this one out but figured I’d need a bit more time to give it a burl. We’ll see if I get around to it but I do like your effort. It’d be great to see some more of your fine art like this.

  • Thanks so much mate! It’s actually a fairly quick process to get this effect, a lot faster than texturing anyway haha. Id love to do a few more like this, just need to find more ariel view shots.

This is wonderful, i love shift tilt images not tried one myself but think they are fascinating. Look forward to seeing more of these from you.

  • Thank you so much Karen! They aren’t too difficult to create, just need to have the right image to make it work. I went through about 4 shots today before I came up with this one. It’s such a cool technique!
