Close up profile of a cheetah.

This was taken at a Cheetah Farm in Namibia. The farm has taken in several cheetahs from the wild, where they are currently being hunted and killed. The main hunting is done by poachers for their fur, but also by other farmers, as cheetahs are known to hunt live stock on farms as well.

OMG ,, that’s really close,,truely a beautiful animal,,, nice to see the fur on the beast and not on a coat,,,

  • haha, we did get very close to these cheetahs. they were almost completely tame and lived at a farm, where they were raised as cubs. amazing animals, and yes, im very happy the fur is on him and not on some socialite high roller!

Great shot Andrew, isn’t it strange to be able to get so close, my wifes favourite animal. I love close ups, this is perfect.

  • Thanks so much Wayne! It’s surreal being that close to them, almost threatening, but strangely safe at the same time. Really appreciate your comments :)
