Central Reservation
The interior of one of the small rustic looking cafe / restaurants in Degraves Street, Melbourne. The lane way is crammed with cafes and restaurants, with tables and chairs packed to capacity down the centre of the lane. European influence has a lot to do with why this hidden feature of Melbourne city ended up this way.
I don’t think I have ever walked down Degraves Street and seen it empty. Places like this are the reason I love living in Melbourne so much.
Bit of colour blanching and lightening of contrast, all done in photoshop. Original photo slightly cropped (to remove a mac book from the view!)
Title inspired by Beth Orton’s song of the same name.
