Forsaken
Dead tree in the Soususvlie, Namib Desert. Namibia
The Soususvlie is a lake, long since dead for hundreds of years. The trees and life within it all died as the lake dried up. Everything within has been preserved by the massive amount of salt left in the ground. The cycle of life continues as a new lake will form over the next set of sand dunes, and this soususvlie will eventually be covered with sand as the dunes gradually progress and move over time.

Love the warm embrace of lonliness, to get contrasting elements to work together is wonderful

So rare to have the two combine! Thank you mate, I’m glad you appreciate the beauty within this shot. There is such an air of loneliness in this place, everything is so still and quiet.
