Laguna Quilotoa

I began a 4 day trek into the Ecuadorian Andes called the Quilotoa Loop. The scenery around this area is splendid and the area’s indigenous people are shy but friendly. The trek is not easy at such altitude. I finally arrived at the beautiful volcanic crater of Laguna Quilotoa at a hight of 3854 metres. From the top of the crater, there are beautiful views of the emerald green lake below, which spans two kilometres. I love this photo, beautiful bright orange flowers and grasses in the foreground and the stunning emerald green lake centre.
