    Amazing shot. Where is this? It appears to be the remains of a glacier – Patagonia maybe?

    You were right on the “glacier part”; the location is the southern part of Vatnajokull, the Europe’s biggest glacier, situated in Iceland.

    Yes, I agree Iceland is very different (especially geographically speaking) from Holland.
    I envy you all of the trees, flowers, wind mills and great old architecture in Holland though; not many of mentioned can be found here in Iceland.:)
