“Anyone can give up, it’s the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that’s true strength.”
I think if I had seen this quote in the week following my Mom’s death, I really would have fallen apart. It makes me cry, knowing how the rest of my family stared and asked if I had any feelings at all. I got to be the executor. I showed up and did my best.
Give this to someone you love in a time of tragedy, and it will show how much you love and appreciate them. It will also tell them that it’s okay to fall apart, once everything’s squared away. And they’ll know where to go to do just that.
