Play for Me - Streets of London
whilst the girls were out with the Chaboussant this morning at repetition I had a little lookie around to try out my new lens!! Chloe had been playing “The Streets of London” before leaving so I used her guitar and music to create something a little different (for me!)

Agnes McGuinness
Superb work, Pamela. I really love this. Great dof. I have a prime lens too, which I love. Agnes xx
Pamela Jayne S... replied
Thank you Agnes – it’s such a different type of lens to play with I have found – the fact that I don’t need a flash indoors!! I am really in love again :) xx
George Swann
Lovely Image Pam…may I make a suggestion, I think it would look better if the Guitar was completely in focus, then the DoF would have thrown the music both sides out of focus..a much stronger Image!!
Pamela Jayne S... replied
Hi George, and thank you I value your comment and will try again – it is just 24hrs old this new baby of mine and trying out all sorts of different things with it – mainly indoor this morning and been out today on a lovey 3 hr walk! It is amazing the lens that is! So I appreciated your comment and will see what else I can do!! Thank you :))
BettinaSchwarz

Karen Betts
Fantastic creative peice of work.glad you are having fun with your camera lens. : )
Pamela Jayne S... replied
Thank you Karen – well I couldn’t let you have all the fun now could I – a most recommended piece of kit imho! It is such fun and no stressing about flash gun lighting just sorting out interior lighting to suit and in daylight much better :) I am really happy :))
Karen Betts
Glad you are having fun, sounds a good lens as you say with out a flash ect. Look forward to seeing some more of your work with it.
Squealia
Very very nicely done…. no one is musical in our house!
Pamela Jayne S... replied
Thank you Squealia – I am surrounded!! we have now : 5 flutes, one piccolo flute 3 guitars, one banjo, one static harp, one piano, one keyboard, one ukelele and a couple of recorders!! wow that’s not bad is it!! never added it up before :) Chloe has started to teach herself guitar think she is inspired by her fellow lyceé crowd + always good to have another instrument to play if you want to be a music teacher!!
Taylor Sawyer
Hiya Pamela! Can you tag this one with p101still and p101natlight? Thanks!

Pamela Jayne S... replied
Thank you Shellbee :) it was inspired by the daughter not putting stuff away – will have to stop nagging now!!
Stephen Thomas
Great still life photo! I did one similar to this call Silent Night.
Pamela Jayne S... replied
Thanks Stephen it is quite similar indeed – yours is quite a moody effect which is lovely!! I was really playing with the lens to see what I could capture on it and hubby and daughter said this one should be on RB! I think Chloe just wants her guitar to be famous! I have done many like this over the last couple of years but not with this result of clarity and it’s just a little different for me!
BCasTal

Lovely shot, Pamela….I have a 50mm lens and seldom use it….DUH! I need to switch things up a bit….great inspiration for me…thanks!
Pamela Jayne S... replied
Thank you Wendi – you seldom use it !! Oh wow this is such a find for me and I am lovin’ it! I love my 70-300mm lens for the zoom and macro but this little 50mm is something else- the reports were so mixed about it in the fact it’s plasticy, noisy etc..but everyone agreed that the results are something else!! I can’t wait to try portraits again now! Get it on there girl!!
