not long after i was diagnosed with breast cancer, i was cutting the paper open to a bouquet of flowers, set the pair of scissors down and noticed that the word hope was carved on their side. hope is a word often used for cancer patients, and i believe there’s a place for it, it’s a feeling itself that acts like a placebo for a healthy and long life.
