Great shot John. Preserve, is this an enclosed place, a place you can drive through or what ?Sounds interesting if there are a lot of wildlife there
Thanks Tim. There are many forest preserves in the Chicago and suburban area and they are generally open to the public. I wouldn’t really say there is any great abundance of wildlife in any them beyond squirrels, racoons, deer, and some coyotes. What is somewhat unique about this spot is an area where people have been coming for years to leave seed, bread, etc. for birds. Since I found the spot a couple years ago, I like to go there in winter when most bird presence drops off. Because there are some coyotes and deer in the woods, they sometimes come scrounging around this area as well.

Thanks for the feedback John, sounds much like a place here in Green Bay
Yeah, I have seen shots of Romeo on yours, Scott’s, and Jeff’s sites. I told Jeff I’m hoping to get up there to that Bay Beach Sanctuary this spring and also like to check out Horicon. I see you and Scott were recently down here at our zoo. I’m going to have to get over and check out those wolves myself. I’ve got a membership, but don’t get there as often as I should. Now I’ve definitely got an objective. It looks like maybe the zoo actually did a decent job on habitat for getting shots of those wolves. You guys got a bunch of great shots there !!
Very nice capture John
Wow John, this is stunning, excellent shot with the snow make the coyote really stand out.
Wonderful capture of a beautiful animal. Congratulations on your feature in Absolute Clarity!
