Lonely on top of a hill

HDR image of a building used at the highest point in ontario used in the 1950’s as a radar base. It’s pretty lonely at the top as their are only a few open services in some of the old buildings….there are several old bunkers that have no trespassing signs and pictures of mary around…..i wish i could have gone in….though i do not think it would have been safe to do so.

Thank you very much Lisa and Andy !!! :) I heard about this place on a local tv show and had to go there and i am so glad i did…..i am going to find out if i can get into a couple of the buildings…some have been fixed up to house a tea room and factory others remain abandoned….i read somewhere that many that were stationed there have now purchased houses on the bottom of the hill and trying to build up the community again…but this area on top of the hill is empty…..this day was very cloudy and it made for dramatic HDR’s…what was amazing (aside from the buildings) were the clouds….they looked so close you could touch them…:)

Love the dramatic sky and the linear nature of the building in contrast to it.

Great processing and the sky really sets off the abandoned look of the buildings!
