Way cool! I’ve heard the Aeolian Harps, they are very unique sounding, sort of organic…........I’d love to hear what these sound like. Are there any recordings of them?

Good shot. Aeolian Harps are great to chill-out to. I heard a recording here in Australia, not quite an Aeolian Harp, but they put guitar pick-ups on power lines out in a windy desert and recorded the sounds of the wires vibrating in the wind. The different wind speeds varying the pitch. I’m sure that there would have to be Aeolian Harp recordings.
    Cheers.

  • palegirl replied

I have just had a listen to an Aeolian Harp and yes the sound is very similar. Guitar pick-ups on power lines eh, I had no idea of any of this before I posted my piccie. Thanks for your comments.

Splendid framing of the Singing Tree with the clouds; intelligent use of black and white as well – you know your b&w filters, or photoshop b&w conversion methods.
    Nice composition too.

And why was I not told of this???
    This is amazing.
But probably not as amazing in real life as you’ve made it look so totally isolated here.
Again, you use the path to bring us to it, and your balance between ground and sky is perfect. Almost looks like it’s mimicking the clouds.
    Gorgeous take!!

  • palegirl replied

Glad you like it Billyboy, you were the first Redbubbler to have offered me good photography advice. The picture has not been messed about with apart turning it to B&W and messing with the balances.
