I received a Bmail asking how to do these things
I am sharing this for those of you that have questions
IN order to enter challenges
First you have to join groups as most challenges only accept group work for entry…
at the top of your RedBubble page you see a tab labeled GROUPS click on that. Then search through the hundreds of groups available. click on the ones you are interested in and read the group rules which there is a hyperlink for at the bottom of each group page it will take you to a new page with the group rules, at the bottom of that page you will see a link for accept the rules and join here click on that, now you are part of that group. Do that for every group you want to join.
Now when you upload work to RedBubble you click on MyBubble this will bring you to your Bubble page. At the top of that you will see several links ie edit my profile my profile page etc you will see one that says add new work or upload new work, something like that click on that…it will bring up a tab that says browse…click on that and browse through your photo files on the computer that you want to upload click on the photo you want to upload and then click ok this will add the path to your photo
After that you will see title…title your work
then give description the camera you used where the shot was taken or whatever criteria a group wants to be listed here
after that you will see tags you want to use tags
say you upload a macro of a red rose
in the tags you would put something like this: red rose flower flowers roses macro
under that you will see all of the groups that you joined
click on the box next to the group you want to work added to, make sure the work is appropriate to that group
ie all about flowers
flowers in macro
the addicted photographer (these are just a few groups that the rose would be accepted in)
some of the photos need to be approved by the moderators and hosts so it will sit in a que until it is accepted or rejected usually rejected with a reason ie does not fit the guidelines , this work would be better suited to another group, if you can improve on this photo to fit the group etc once accepted it is now part of that group.
Check let others see my work and click on add this work for sale as and choose the formats you would like to see this as greeting card, matted print, mounted etc
then choose how much of a mark up you want ie 30 percent
at the bottom you will see a button to save the work click on that, it will then upload your work and all the settings you chose.
Now for challenges go to the group page you have joined
we will use All About Flowers as an example as you have a Rose that you have uploaded to the group
on the top of the page you will see a link called challenges, click on that and it will take you to the page that is listing the challenges that are open, pending, being voted on and closed
lets say the current challenge open is Flowers in Macro you will click on the button that says Enter
this will bring you to the entry page. you will see the rules and guidelines for the challenge whether it is open or not and when it is accepting entries, for this example it is accepting entries.
On this page you will see all of the work that you have uploaded to RedBubble at the middle of the page. There is a search line to make it easier for you to search through your work type in part of the title and automatically anything with that title or similar in your gallery will show. Mark/click the circle to choose it and then enter.
You will know that your work is entered as you will see a small photo example of the work you entered.
Remember it is up to the moderator to accept or reject your challenge entry. AS LONG AS YOU READ THE RULES AND GUIDELINES AND NO LIMIT HAS BEEN REACHED it will be highly unlikely that your work will be rejected.
When it comes time to vote many moderators send out a group email to let you know that voting has started. There is usually a link in the email that will take you right to the voting page, scroll through the art in the challenge and choose your fav.
When you win a challenge or are in the top ten or are featured most moderators leave a banner, leave a comment on your art or send a Bmail announcing features and winners.
That should pretty much cover it :)
