ORANGE MILK by Dennis Small
Clear

Currently unavailable for purchase

During a trip to Ft Indiantown Gap, Pa. for the Regal tours I noticed the orange milkweed (Butterfly Milkweed, Asclepias tuberosa). I had never seen it before and after I saw how the Butterflies liked it thought I would look it up and try and get some. There were many other flowers the butterflies passed over to get to this. This Tiger Swallowtail sure enjoyed the Orange juice. It’s interesting that of all places military enviroments would be the last place people think of for thriving wildlife. The very nature of burning and activity that destroys plants create habitat for certaing types of wildlife found only there. The Regal Butterfly there and is the only know population on the east coast.
