Now Autumn’s fire burns slowly along the woods,
And day by day the dead leaves fall and melt,
And night by night the monitory blast
Wails in the key-hole, telling how it pass’d
O’er empty fields, or upland solitudes,

The storm still rages, and gusts of wind have torn away most of the leaves…here and there in the tangle of weeds and branches a few still cling, tenacious, not wiling to let go…yet..

I could hear the wind constantly during my sleep. You have shown the movement in your piece very effectively. The leaves may still be clinging on but their colours are spreading…
Thanks so much MuiLing….It’s the spirit of autumn with the weather and the feeling of the end of something that I felt I should capture before it was all gone…hence the abstract spread of autumn colours with the stormy greys…I was out today…what a mess it all seems with water running in the streets…mind you in the centre of the city, we got very little of the real damage..did you get a lot of downed trees?

Haven’t seen any downed trees so far; although I haven’t really gone outside. It’s getting cold though.
Yes colder and wetter…a lot of the city have no power and lots of downed trees in the suburbs..
