Have you ever noticed a tree standing naked against the sky,
How beautiful it is?
All its branches are outlined, and in its nakedness
There is a poem, there is a song.
Every leaf is gone and it is waiting for the spring.
When the spring comes, it again fills the tree with
The music of many leaves,
Which in due season fall and are blown away.
And this is the way of life.
. Krishnamurti

Trees are magnificent on autumn nights…even in their almost nakedness….there is never another time when the colours are so brilliant they rival the sunset..On a hill in semi-abstract style….Watercolour on Arches Not Paper..

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..

Beautiful work. Your painting looks like it is starting to snow in Autumn… and speaking of colours that rival the sunset; I actually uploaded one yesterday on Zazzle – well, of the sunrise. They do also contrast beautifully against blue skies as you show; even when that blue is starts getting dark. And speaking of the beauty of bare trees, while I was in London, there was one time, during a period that winter was coming to end, where I came across some trees that matched the colour of the church they surrounded.

  • It often snows in Autumn especially in the northern parts of the province, but I also like the sparkle of white in my watercolours and always leave white spaces…thanks so much MuiLing…

I know you were inspired by these wonderful words Janis, but this piece could have sent that message without the poem. Beautifully painted.

  • It was a kind of simultaneous event Jim…I started the painting and the words of the poem kept resounding in my head as I worked…thank you so much for the lovely compliment…
