I especially like to walk among the sleeping trees in the half-lit silence of winter dawns. The trail I follow winds and twists, new patches of mixed woodland appearing at every turn.

Just north of the city the countryside becomes so wild in parts, it’s hard to believe civilization is a few miles away…in winter the silence is palpable..Toronto, Ontario, Canada..

Recognized your work in my feed…very ‘signature’ light and color, great use of the blue and gold contrasts, and very successful in conveying ‘winter’ even with a lot of warm color. Great feel and mood to these. Love the sparkling highlights. One of the few things I miss from living further North is that up to a point I loved the snow. I can hear, feel and smell snow in these.
Yes my winter imaginings are very recognizable….I generally use the same palette for all my work, in greater or lesser amounts…I have a winter scene that is completely orange like my autumn scenes, but these new ones are closely related as I’m loving these colours right now…winter takes it’s hues from what is around it, so anything goes…
