Still Life in Red and White...Cherries.. by

Fresh cherries, just washed,
beads of ruby strewn across..

White bowl’s shiny gloss..
Dainty stems crisscrossed
..Ephemera

  • Acrylic on Canvas…Soft white linen, white china cup and a handfull of luscious cherries, pay homage to the Impressionists….

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..

oh outstanding!! You nail the essence so perfectly, the shine, the tiny pits on the skin and the stems. This is lovely and so powerful – now I want CHERRIES!!

  • Thanks so much Yvonca…lovely of you to say so..
I have a huge cherry collection here, see link above, but this is the first one I’ve done in acrylic, all the rest are in watercolour…I am going to eat these right after I get off the computer as they don’t last very long…

Fantastic! You’re so good it kills me. I was painting cherries today too, but mine are missing the detail, the oomph. I’m going to favourite this so I can keep referring to it. I hope you don’t mind me using you as a teacher like this.

  • Thanks so much Shani…I don’t mind at all…BTW….What materials are you using?
