The Forget me Nots from my neighbour’s garden have blown over and seeded themselves in mine…now I have these tiny blue flowers growing here and there in between the stones in the path…
As I walk along I wondered, “should I pull them up? after all left to themselves they will over run the path, but yet I thought, this little flower teaches us a lesson in constancy”…so small I have to put my camera down at my feet to get a good picture, and yet it comes back year after year with out fail
I thought of Longfellow’s poem Evangeline that we read in school
..
Silently, one by one,
in the infinite meadows of heaven,
blossomed the lovely stars,
the forget-me-nots of the angels
I left them there

Lovely style and colors. Glad you left them there! I bet the path looks beautiful.

  • Thank you so much Dot…it’s actually a path that leads to nowhere, so I have lots of interesting plants along the sides….now these little flowers have added their blue beauty to it…
