“It’s very hard to read”…..there are some notes repeated over and over" said Maddy as she peered at the painting ..
“We can see that” said Max…" we need to know what it means…
“I don’t know what it means…al I can tell you is that the music is like no music I have ever seen”..
“Well it’s hundreds of years old isn’t it?…you won’t have heard of it”…
“I don’t think it means anything”…..she said resignedly…
“Well much good you’ve been Maddy”..said Max
“I don’t see that you have been much help yourself”
“But I didn’t pass myself off as an expert did I?”
“Hey all this isn’t helping” Nick intervened.. “we have got to get a move on”
“Maybe there’s another painting with music” suggested Martin…
Nick looked in the box and pulled out another painting and yes it also had musical notes inscribed on it, but more importantly there were many signatures…with the help of the glass they were able to decipher the names of different artists… Monet, Kahlo, Pissaro, Fragonard, Reynolds, Mucha, Miro, David, Boticelli among others….this was becoming more mysterious….what did these signatures mean?
Behind the large yellow poppy they could also make out the letter A…for Ambrose maybe?…
“Could he have met all these people?…asked Ann
“How could he?…they are from many different eras…Kahlo is from our generation…that would mean Ambrose is still alive and we know that’s impossible”..
“Do we?”
“Of course we do…you don’t believe all that mumbo jumbo do you?”
“Well mumbo jumbo or not, how do we account for all these different artists’ signatures on this document”?
Jill who had been standing at the window, suddenly turned and hissed…"quickly…hide the boxes…someone’s coming

The Poppy Journals

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..
