In the package were loose sheets…the first was a painting of Poppies painted in an Impressionistic style….colours softly merging with each other…
Luke pulled them out very slowly so the group could see them one by one…they were not journal pages this time…who could have left them and why?
The telephone shrilled and everyone jumped…..Katy ran off towards the other room..
“I vote we package them up and take them home with us” said Lisa, “someone with more knowledge than us could decipher it there”
“And what makes you think they will allow us to take them out of the country” scoffed Martin..
“We would be thrown in jail and left there to rot…we’re here to look for certain artifacts and this was not a part of the deal”
“This is way bigger than us though” volunteered Greg, who so far had not said a word…“maybe we should try to smuggle them out”
“How, I ask you how?”
No one answered…at this moment Anna came back from answering the telephone looking very bemused..
“Who was it”
“I don’t know” she said…
“Well what did they say”?
“They wanted to speak to Poppy”
A dead silence fell as they stared at each other, fear written on each face…
Watercolour on Indian Paper…View Large…
flowers, garden art, impressions, janis, poppies, rain, red, summer and watercolour
I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..
