Artist's Description

Pg 82 was luminous with pink Poppies right in the centre….more weathered than the last one, there were water stains and what looked like other images in the background…
Together the group pored over it looking closely for anything they might recognize…suddenly Jason cried out…“look there’s a Tulip inscribed in the background”
True.. there was a Tulip…they looked at each other… incredulous..more confusion…so far all they had to contend with were Poppies…now a Tulip?…
Margie brought out her magnifying glass and alongside the Tulip, they saw smaller Poppies in a Venetian style design that looked like it was originally carved in wood…the light shone brightly behind it…again the words read “Qualche devi par pre necessita di questa sono oi mi costrige”?… that’s what they were able to decipher any way…
Further along were words that seemed clearer “io non cosi, e sincero” no they really could not decipher more than that…nothing made any sense…
Bernard, decided to take charge….“why don’t we each take a page and make notes of what we’ve found so far and what we think they could possibly mean, then we’ll compare our notes”…
“What about the rest of the journals?”
“We will open them later”
Reluctantly they moved away from the large table and each one took up a page, moving to smaller tables further back…
Suddenly there was a loud banging on the door…they froze….no one knew they were there except Dr Oliver…could, could he have finally reached them?…
Julian rushed to open it…there was no one there…he ran wildly outside calling into the darkness…turning back he spotted something lying on the dirt outside the door…it was a large package, loosely wrapped with the name “Poppy” scrawled on the outside
