The Poppy Journals...Artis Praecepta by

Discovered in an archeological dig, a set of journals were found, discoloured with age…at first it looked like a simple botanical treatise, but closer reading showed much more than that…see pages 20 and 25 below..

Page 32 was a double spread, with the Poppy extending over two pages…they pored over it eagerly…they could just make out the Latin words “Artis praecepta…then AEdifficia”..Alan who fancied himself a scholar said he thought that meant building…“maybe what ever it was is in a building of some sort”…
“Clever thought Alan”…“hidden in a building” Angie scoffed…
It seemed that the more pages they discovered the more the mystery deepened…there seemed to be a lot about art too….
To find an expert in deciphering the writing seemed to be the best bet…but who?..someone suggested Professor Oliver, now living in Khartoum, but how to contact him would exercise their minds for sometime…
In the meantime they tried to unravel the secret themselves…each page showed a different Poppy accompanied by writing, for the most part indecipherable….there were also signs and symbols that obviously meant something to the writer…was it a painting then?… some thing by a famous artist like DaVinci, hidden for centuries

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..
