The Poppy Journals...Ars Longa Vita Brevis by

“Ars Longa, Vita Brevis”, (Art is Forever, Life is Short) are the words that stand out on this page 25 of the Poppy Journals…the remaining words are hard to decipher, but you can still read some of it…
The white Poppy stands out like a beacon of light on the page……
Discovered in an archeological dig, the journal was discoloured with age…at first it looked like a simple botanical treatise, but closer reading showed much more than that…
Who wrote it and why?
What do all the mysterious allusions to a secret mean?…
Was Poppy a person or just a flower?
Was this about a great scientific discovery, or a secret missive between spies…or yet a diary of love letters?…the mystery deepens

brown, flowers, garden art, janis zroback, poppies, red, summer and watercolour, white

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..
