….A mystery story set in Venice…

This painting ties in with the story I wrote for it called “Marnie”
When I started the story, I only knew her name was Marnie…as started to write she began to take shape….oh yes…I could see her quite clearly

Read her little story by clicking here I’d love to have your feedback…

Fabric Dye, Charcoal, Gouache, and Pastel on Arches Not Paper

Urban thoughts, urban interpretations…a fusion of eastern and western art in a semi-abstract primitive style…
This series called “Letters From Home”, is not about realism, but more about memories distorted by time on one level, and the effect that certain beliefs about art and reality have on the mind…hence the distortion of perspective, hazy outlines, the prevalence of texture and unusual colour, and disintegrating form…an Expressionist point of view

architecture, buildings, city, janis zroback, landscape, red, venice, watercolour, cityscape, town

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..
