A combination of landscape and abstraction … a fusion of color and light, creating an atmospheric painting, and using pattern to evoke nature in it’s seasonal regularity…. a sort of melding of colour field and expressionism..the form is stark, a bit austere, but the rich reds of the foliage provide a sort of bas relief, giving an impression of almost three dimensionsMy favourite of my pastel works

Oh Janis, I just love how you are using trees to create patterns, like Tree-Dark Wood as well! The two would look amazing together on a wall! What can I say other than I love the red treetops, the lines are so great and the light shining through incredible!

  • I am so pleased that you get this painting and the other one as well Linda…I have not posted many images in this type of style but I plan to do more as they are really my favourite works…and yes these two you mention would look great together…thank you so much…you’re a saviour… :))
