I have not been there is many years, but in fall it is an incredibly beautiful sight….calling on my memory, (I don’t look at photos for fear of painting too realistically, and because I’m interpreting mood and emotion), I created an impressionist semi-abstract painting, utilizing some artistic licence in recreating my experience…

I think Vivaldi’s “The Four Seasons”, (Autumn) is a perfect accompaniment to the painting as it incorporates all the colours of the season…the video has some lovely scenes too

Reducing everything to it’s essence, gets to the very heart of the subject matter…it’s the artists vision after all…how he/she sees the world…for me it’s the promise that distance holds and the journey to get there.
