“*Frozen” was inspired by a photo my friend KJ Gordon sent me…a cherry tree covered with ice…my interpretation takes the form of an abstract, rather than a literal or realistic one*…..see photo inspiration below…

gorgeous. I love the softness of the watercolor work here
Thank you so much John…I’m glad you like it… :))
Wonderful, I can almost see the tiny jagged ice
Thank you so much Ann…very nice of you…
I really like this one, Janis. I like how your added less information and the subtle affect of the blues, white and the red cherries. Great abstraction, and making it your own! It does look cold!!
Lovely of you to say so Alison…thank you for the very insightful comment….
Thank you so much Alison…very nice of you…
Wow.. Nice one Janis! Gets me wondering…. How many cherry pics have you conjured up now?? Great collection :)
Thank you so much Chris…I have done 28 so far…337 to go… I set myself the challenge to do 365….but I don’t think I will do them one after the other, but will take breaks and do other work so I won’t get stale and also I have to complete some commissions that have been put on the back burner…
A beautiful painting, great composition and colour. Well done again Janis
Thank you so much Angela…lovely of you to say so…
337 to go?? hey, that’s true berry dedication ;))) I wonder, have you ever seen siamese-twin cherries like this, by the way:http://img268.imageshack.us/img268/2085/siamese...Struck me as a little odd!
Thanks Chris…I will check it out…
Thank you so much Francis…
