This is the second of the new series of drawings, and is also part of the Collection of “Everyday Things”…as with the first seen below, this is a drawing with pastel crayons….it is interesting using crayons instead of brushes and paint, and actually a whole lot messier…I added another dimension this time with the cloudy effects that creep over the door knob…
Pastel Drawing on Clayboard…
With blank paper lying in front of her,
She takes a pencil and begins to sketch,
Concentrating, her eyes narrowed,
Puzzling together each line carefully,
The blank paper soon is filled with shapes,
Different shapes and sizes,
Creating an art for all to see,
A piece of work, a part of her soul..excerpt Jenna Rose Kat
blue, brown, door, doorknob, janis, pastel, still life, watercolor
I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..

Ahhh.. I was wondering what is that! Very well done! You are like a magician! You can change to art any ordinary thing!
Simply door handles, without the door attached….I am doing a series of them…I like the word magician and I wish it were as easy as saying abracadabra…lol….these days I’ve got crayon dust all over my desk…drawing is definitely messier than painting…thank you so much Faith…it’s very nice of you to say so…

How wonderfully painted Janis, as usual. This has such a strong textural feel. The colors really hold this together well. Just had to come by and comment on some art and enjoy a break from the music. Hope life is treating you well, that you are having a good week. Cheers!
