Door#1 by ©Janis Zroback

This is the first of a new series of drawings, and is also part of the Collection of “Everyday Things”…up to now I have used pastels only as a part of my mixed media paintings, so this is the first time I have done a purely pastel drawing, and also the first time for this subject as well… that’s three firsts in a row….luckily my house is very old and has the most lovely door knobs…I have held them millions of times over the years and know them inside out, as you can see

Pastel Drawing on Clayboard…

The Relic

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..

wonderful shiny pastel drawing Janis…great contrasts…looking forward to the rest of them

  • It’s a nice change to be drawing instead of painting, but the dust!! I am wiping down my table all the time…however I wanted to do some pure pastel as opposed to just using a bit of it in my mixed media work, so here it is…I plan to do quite a few pastels, but today I’m doing a watercolour as a commision…thank so much Linda…
