I did not not want to do a literal translation of Maria’s lovely photo, so I took this to a different level by freezing the music and the rosebud, in ice (painted to look so), and in time…the memory of a moment held fast in our hearts, a memory of joy or of sorrow, the lover’s gift, the wedding wreath
