"Moondance"is in the Landscape collection…it is a new painting based on a winter scene I had posted earlier…

Well, its a marvelous night for a moondance
With the stars up above in your eyes
A fantabulous night to make romance
‘neath the cover of October skies
And all the leaves on the trees are falling
To the sound of the breezes that blow
And I’m trying to please to the calling
Of your heart-strings that play soft and low
And all the nights magic seems to whisper and hush
And all the soft moonlight seems to shine in your blush

I paint in many different styles and feature a myriad of subject matter, which I show as individual collections….
I am inspired by the world interpreting it in brilliant colours, often influenced by the writings of famous authors and poets..

Janis..that is just magic!!..how you do this and so quickly ..I’ll never know..but it just appears like magic!!

  • I paint everyday, and I’m always ahead of the stuff I post…right now I’m painting harvest foods and winter landscapes, and more Leonard Cohen’s stuff.

beautiful work Janis and a great song, one of my favourites that we have here at home….I can see texture on this one and it does not look like watercolour as your colours are so vibrant – how do you do that I wonder as I really like the effect it gives

  • The practice as a decorative painter and fine arts painter means I often cross over the skills…I bend all the rules….I used masking fluid here, erasing and rubbing out, as some of the techniques….thanks Linda…a million layers later…this is the result..

Lovely feel to this one Janis , but then I do love blues and the moon, a dancing sky and great music.

    Paul :))))))))))))

  • My husband said I should have linked Van Morrison, but I could not find a video….MB is also good, but no one sings it like Van…I’m so pleased you like them both…
